GENERAL FAN COMMENTS: Looking for Tickets I am looking for two tickets to Jackson's concerts in Morristown New Jersey or Long Island, New York. Thanks, Bennett Pine Submitted by: bpine@andersonkill.com (Bennett P.) GENERAL FAN COMMENTS: Hi Russ !!! And Happy Birthday Jackson !!! Best regards Submitted by: florian.laulhe0565@orange.fr (Flo) GENERAL FAN COMMENTS: Want to wish Jackson Browne a very, very happy birthday. Can you pass the message on? Submitted by: marilyn.carlin@worldnet.att.net GENERAL FAN COMMENTS: Looking for Tickets Russ, First of all, please accept my sincerest appreciation for the incredible dedication and effort you've so obviously committed to the ongoing development and maintenance of your Jackson Browne Fans' web site. I've been following it almost since its inception and it has often provided key concert information around which my wife and I have sometimes been able to plan our travel. I've even made a few submissions to the site over the years, once commenting on the song selection on The Best of Jackson Browne and the missed commercial opportunity of Jackson's original record label not releasing a Greatest Hits album earlier, when Jackson's music was reaching its commercial zenith (ROE / Hold Out / Somebody's Baby era) and another time offering a submission regarding Jackson's appearance in a Canadian produced tribute to Bruce Cockburn (which you posted in the "News" section). I did have the pleasure earlier this summer of catching the two shows at Casino Rama in Orillia, Ontario that kicked off the North American leg of the tour. I rented a limo for both nights and treated 15 friends of mine, over two nights, to the sweet sounds of Jackson and his superb band. Over the years, since approximately 1977 (ROE tour), I've managed to catch Jackson with full band perhaps 20 times in cities throughout the Great Lakes region: Toronto, Buffalo, Niagara Falls, Detroit, Cleveland, Chicago, Milwaukee and Boston (met him in the hotel lobby next morning). I've only seen the acoustic shows, however, twice - once at a benefit he did a few years ago at the Friar's Club in Beverly Hills (met him backstage after the show) and, a year or two later, with my whole family (wife and 3 kids) at the Artists For The Arts benefit he performed with Venice at the Barnum Theatre at Santa Monica High School (truly inspiring). Once again, my wife and I are looking to dovetail our travel plans with a Jackson Browne show but, unfortunately, it looks like I've been too slow off the mark to make it happen (the show's sold out). We'll be on the way back home to Toronto from our vacation home in North Carolina and a Jackson Browne concert to break up the long drive would make for an ideal respite from the road. I'm wondering if you could post a request for tickets on your site. We're looking for two (2) seats for the November 1st concert in Harrisburg, PA. Perhaps someone has an extra pair that they can't use and would be willing to sell. Anything that you can do to help facilitate would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. p.s. I sing and play piano / keyboard in a cover band in Toronto and I've had the great pleasure over the past few years of singing and performing many of my favourite Jackson Browne songs: Doctor My Eyes, Rock Me On The Water, Take It Easy, The Road And The Sky, Running On Empty, Rosie, The Load Out / Stay, Boulevard, Somebody's Baby, The Naked Ride Home, etc. Well we've come to the place where the road and the sky collide Throw me over the edge and let my spirit glide...
