GENERAL FAN COMMENTS: Looking for Tickets Hello Everyman, I was hoping to find a ticket to see Jackson Browne, David Lindley and Kiko Veneno on December 4 @ The Lobero Theatre. Thank you very much for a great site:) Submitted by: SCrawford@willisandwalsh.com (Sheri) GENERAL FAN COMMENTS: Dear Russ, great web site, I really like it and enjoy the connection with other Jackson Browne fans. This is a little review of the guest appearance of Jackson on November 5 in a concert benefiting Boarding House Mentors (www.boardinghousementors.org), an organization gathering volunteers dedicated to teaching inner city kids how to surf, snowboard and skate. Great cause, great concert. Jackson sang "Barricades of heaven" and then gathered on the stage all the available musicians and they improvised to the beat of "Next voice you hear". Jackson also encouraged teens to join them and rap, four of them climbed on the stage and o boy- they did rap. Now I know exactly the meaning of "being in awe". It is to stand there thinking "oooooooooh!" The whole experience was magic. And fun. And touching. If anyone has tickets and cannot make the concert, could you please contact me? I will purchase them joyfully, ecstatically even. I am a Jackson Browne era person, but my young friend of 27 is a new Jackson convert (He quotes lyrics better than I do) and has never been to a JB concert. It would be great to be able to give him the gift of seeing Jackson and David together. Thanks! Submitted by: hartwich@usc.edu (Judy H.) GENERAL FAN COMMENTS: Doctor My Eyes! Did the Democrats just take the House and Senate? Just goes to show you that anything can happen! Heck, we even now have Arnold our hummer driving Governor signing Greenhouse Gas Reduction Laws. Sometimes it good to let in Austrian get Hungry I guess. Thanks brother for your music; keeping our spirits high through the darkest of times, since I have been Alive. Keep fighting Jackson; til you go down. For those of you who like Jackson Browne's music as well as his communal spirit, these are truly better times. They get a lot of local people for the Tuesday shows, no matter who is playing there. Most people don't know or care who the band is. It's a fairly trendy bar in Santa Monica. So, if people are interested in going, best to make dinner reservations. The Jackson Browne crowd tends to be a bit AARPy such as myself and standing for two hours... not so good. The last time I went to see the Pine Mountain Logs at the Belly Up (PML is the band many of Venice are in, they do cover songs and are fantastic) probably 50% of the people didn't even know who was playing and I presume it will be the same at the Temple Bar. You could hear a lot of, "These guys are GREAT. Does anyone know who they are?" That sort of thing. I know there's a short clip of this on the Going Home DVD and I've been looking for the whole song for a long, long time and now I've finally found it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=aA5w6KHfPPY Does anyone know if this concert is available on DVD? Youtube is such a great source for music, there's loads of stuff with JB here, just type in his name and search.
