Dear Russ - and the other Jackson-Browne-fans.

Thanks for this great homepage.

I read the fan-letters and the news on Jacksons's homepage very often. I really love his music and especially his lyrics - they are very truthfull and sometimes very romantic.

I live in Germany and I think, that Jackson's fans in Europe are sometimes disadvantaged because he gives more concerts in the United States than in Europe. We hope to see him soon on a concert here in Europe.

Let the music keep our spirits high...

It's such a shame that Jackson has no plans to tour outside the USA in the near future. Over here in England, some of us are still waiting to see him perform again.

My wife and I last saw Jackson at the Royal Albert Hall in 1996, where I gave him a cassette of my song "Song For Jackson" (highly original no?). Jackson is the only songwriter I ever wrote a song for, although I've been playing and singing my own songs for over twenty years and Jackson's for fifteen.

Many people seem to think that Jackson is at his best when he's writing about personal themes, but my personal favourite album is still "Live In The Balance" and my favourite song is "Lawless Avenues" which seems to combine the personal and "issue" themes with a powerful melody and a very emotive lyric. I only started doing my own version of this song this year. it doesn't sound so good when I do it, but a lot of the audiences I play to haven't even heard of him, so I hope they'll go out and find some of his music, assuming they're listening to me!

I could go on, but fan letters shouldn't ramble. If anyone wants to contact me to talk about Jackson and his music, I'm Malcolm.

Now I am what one might call a true old-fashioned JB fan. In my younger days I used to have a song-festival with close friends where we just listened back to back through the JB albums to date. When I lived in Cleveland, I went to Blossum Music Center for every J Browne concert. I never tracked his life/biography except through his music... connection enough.

Now-a-days, I still get comfort from so many lyrics of a man that I have never met, but who unknowingly has touched my life and helped me see a light, smile, question and persist at times when a reflective remark was a needed kick. I once wrote him a thank you note. Ridiculous many may say, but there has to be some small way to express some poetry for his talent and his sharing of it.

I too feel Europeans are missing something... hey, it may not be Santa Monica but folks in Brussels, Bern, Berlin, Burmingham and Barcelona also long for Browne. Helas... we can always stay up late and look at your website... Nice job.

I have a question for anyone that can help me. I used to be on a Jackson Browne e-mail list that posted various letters from fans. I recently switched my account and lost all info, so if anyone knows what I am talking about PLEASE HELP! I really enjoyed hearing from everyone and I miss the conversations and stories.

Thanks for your help

WEBMASTER'S REPLY: The Jackson Browne Internet Mailing List is called the Everyman list. You can subscribe to the digest version of this list by sending mail to Majordomo@angus.mystery.com with the message "subscribe everyman-digest" (without the quote of course). Digest means that you will get all the day's posts at once in one email at the end of the day. I highly recommend the digest version over the regular version which can, at times, litterally overwhelm your mailbox!

I recommend the Everyman list to all Jackson Browne fans. It has been around since August 1996 and is the best place to meet and exchange correspondence with other Jackson Browne fans. Currently there are over 650 subscribers! Additional information about the Everyman List can be found on this website. Simply go back to the main page and then click on the FAQ Section of the website and scroll down to Section 2.3 of the FAQ. That's the section called "Jackson Browne Internet Mailing List" and contains the complete Everyman Mailing List FAQ.

I had been reading about the Jackson Browne tribute album in Spanish, and thought I would ask ya'll a question that I have been wondering about for a while. Does anyone know if there is an album of Jackson Browne songs sung in Italian? When I was in Italy I heard The Road sung in Italian on the radio and it was beautiful.

When I learned how to play the quitar a couple of years ago, it was only because of my determination to play Jackson songs that I succeeded. And now that I'm trying to learn Italian, maybe Jackson songs could again come to my rescue. Does anyone know if there are recordings of Jackson Browne songs sung in Italian, and if so where I could find them?

Thanks for your help.

I never knew until this week that Jackson Browne had held such meaning in my life. See, I'm a hold out. I had the Hold Out 8-track in my car and I listened to it all the time. But then the car was totalled and having been an 8 track I never listened to it again. Time went on and I began settling for love, for a career and basically for life. The other day when I was in the music store I saw the CD and I bought it. And DE JA VU ! It all came back to me. What I was all about. What I was looking for so long ago. I had lost my way, took a wrong turn. But now I'm back - thanks to Jackson Browne. That album and the two songs Hold On and Hold On, Hold out have so much meaning for me. I just want to say Thank You !!!!!
