  8. September 19 in Los Angeles, California. A concert featuring the Hamilton High School Choir and Jackson Browne will follow the UCLA women's volleyball game.

  9. September 23 in New York City. Jackson will be honored at this year's Amnesty International Spotlight Awards.

  10. September 26 on the Late Night with David Letterman television show.

  11. September 29 in San Deigo, California at Hospitality Point for a No Nukes Benefit to Stop Ward Valley.

  12. September 30 in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Hard Rock Hotel. "A No Nukes Benefit: Honor the Earth Presents Bonnie, Indigos & John, special guests Jackson and Graham". To stop Yucca Mountain.

  13. October 4 in Sedona, Arizona at the Verde Valley Benefit Concert.

  14. October 7 in Seattle on at the Moore Theatre Jackson is doing a benefit for "El Centro".

  15. October 9 (JACKSON'S BIRTHDAY!) in Berkeley, California at Zellerbach Auditorium on the UC campus. Solo acoustic concert.

  16. October 11 in Ojai, California at the Libby Bowl. A solo acoustic performance to benefit the Happy Valley School Theatre Project.

  17. October 12 in Los Angeles, California at The Santa Monica Civic Auditorium for PS#1 Elementary School.

  18. October 26 in Rome, Italy. Jackson Browne participated in the second annual World Food Day Concert.The concert was organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and took place simultaneously in Rome and Havana . Other performers were Nick Cave, Caetano Veloso, Los Van Van plus various Italian and international artists. The show was broadcast on Italian television the following day.

  19. October 27 in Stockholm, Sweden. Jackson Browne did an invite only promo gig in Stockholm and Steve Earle turned up as special guest.

  20. October 28 in Milan, Italy. Concert broadcasted live by an Italian networkon a show called "Night Express". Jackson also answers questions from the audience.

  21. November 8 in New York. Jackson is reported to be among a number of performers at a show billed as "Bryter Layter: The Music of Nick Drake". It will take place at St. Ann's Church in Brooklyn.

  22. November 13 in Chicago, Illinois at a gala tribute to Steve Goodman at Chicago's Medinah Temple. Others scheduled to perform are Emmylou Harris, Kris Kristofferson, John Prine, Arlo Guthrie, Lyle Lovett, Kathy Mattea, Todd Snider, and Iris Dement. The event will benefit Chicago's Old Town School of Folk Music.

  23. November 20 in New York City at a Rainforest benefit at the Hammerstein Ballroom in Manhattan. He will be one of several peformers. It is a 3800 seat room. Metropolitan Entertainment is promoting it. (Their website is www.metroent.com)

  24. November 21 in Los Angeles. IFP West will be hosting a concert to benefit the Project Involved Program and El Centro's Nica Rogers Scholarship Fund, Friday, November 21, 1997 from 7:30 to 10:30 at the El Rey Theatre. (This theater seats only 400 people!) Performances by JACKSON BROWNE and SHAWN COLVIN with Michael Landau and Larry Klein. IFP West's web site is at www.ifpwest.org.

  25. December 1 in Washington DC. Jackson will be participating in the Metro TeenAIDS benefit for the Ryan White Youth Service Awards at at the Lincoln Theater. Concert benefits Metro TeenAIDS.

  26. December 3 in Ottawa, Canada at the Congress Centre. Jackson Browne and Bruce Cockburn will perform a show to take place during the UN signing of the Land Mines treaty.

  27. December 5 in Chicago, Illinois at the Riviera Theater. WXRT/Radio Chicago has announced that Jackson will do their annual "Christmas with the Kids" benefit concertat the Riviera Theater. Proceeds to the annual WXRT Christmas Concert for the Kids will benefit the Chicago Lakeview Pantry, Project Share (a Chicago area panty that serves the south and southwest Chicago suburbs), and Christmas for the Kids.

  28. December 6 in Denver, Colorado at the Paramount Theater. KBCO presents Jackson Browne in a solo acoustic holiday concert. Proceeds from KBCO's Holiday Concert will benefit the Emergency Family Assistance Association of Boulder.
