Hi. I came across your website.

I've been trying to track down information on a concert I attended back in 1972 which was held in NYC at the Felt Forum (Madison Square Garden).

The Eagles/Jackson Browne/John David Souther.

I heard there was a review in Variety magazine but I could not find it.

One of my friends said Linda Ronstadt appeared at that concert but I can't recall her being there. I certainly remember JD Souther, Jackson Browne and the Eagles performing. It was quite a show.

Was this the only time these three artists appeared on the same bill at the Felt Forum and did Linda Ronstadt perform?

I don't have any of this information. Can anybody out there help answer these questions?

I do have concert information since January 1996 posted on this website, but have not compiled concert information prior to that date.

Hi Russ,

Your news section mentioned that Bob Edwards interviewed Jackson on his public radio weekend show last September, but didn't include the pod-cast link. I especially liked the section where Jackson talked about different Cuban artists. I came in to see if any new letters had arrived in your mailbox and was so happy to see the columns rearranged to make room for the 2009 letters. Thank you again for all you do for the Jackson Browne community.

I happened upon this interview with Jackson: http://music.aol.ca/article/jackson-browne-continues-to-merge-his-personal-and-political-sides/448115/ and just loved what he said about one of his old songs (and one of my personal favorites):

We talked about looking back earlier. Are there any of your older songs that have changed or you've started to look at differently?

I'll give you a great example: I was being honored by ASCAP and they got Shawn Colvin to sing one of my songs at this event, and she chose to sing 'Our Lady of the Well.' The way she sang it, it really sounded like it was being sung from the point of view of a soldier in Iraq. She was singing a song I knew very well and in my mind I hear Mexico, but the way she sang it: Across my home has grown the shadow, of a cruel and senseless hand/Though in some strong heart, the love and truth remains." Wow! "But it's a long way that I've come across the sand." It was like an Iraqi soldier talking to some Iraqi people; it was really very moving.
