Happy New Year. It's hard to believe that I've been running this website since 1995. I still believe that Jackson Browne has the best fans around.

I've been told that Jackson is actually working on 3 new CDs. One is a new studio album. The second is "Solo Acoustic, Volume 2". And the third CD is another live album from the mini-tour that Jackson did with David Lindley in early 2006.

I heard in late 2006 that the two live CDs are pretty much ready to go, but that he was holding the release on those because he really wanted to release a new studio album first -- which he had hoped to release during 2007. Obviously that didn't happen.

In late 2007, I was told that we can expect 2 of these three CDs during 2008 and, shortly after that, information started leaking out that Solo Acoustic, Vol. 2 would be released in the first quarter of 2008.

On January 11, 2008, Jackson Browne announced 19 dates for a solo accoustic tour in support of the release of Solo Acoustic, Vol. 2 along the east coast of the U.S. See the "Concerts" page of this website for details.

does these letters get read by jackson browne or someone who knows him?

My name is Sam, i'm 17 and live in melbourne, australia. JB is my favorite musician and I desperately want him to do an acoustic tour in australia. I am afraid he is never going to come. Please come please. Such an amazing album (solo acoustic vol1.). Inspiring. So powerful. Come to Australia and do vol.2. Pleeease. You will love it here :)

Hi Sam,

No, Jackson Browne does not read the letters on this website. Jackson told me years ago (when I spoke to him after a concert) that he doesn't have time to spend online; that he knows how addictive it can be and simply doesn't have the time. A couple of years ago, when he was in Europe, someone doing an interview with him asked Jackson to spend some time on the "Trivia Quiz" section of this website, which he did. His management contacted me a few days later with some minor text changes that Jackson requested I make to that page, which I did. Jackson has been aware of this website since at least early 1996, when I first discussed it with him (again, after a concert). But generally, he doesn't visit here or read the letters as far as I know.

Jackson's new album "Solo Acoustic, Vol. 2" will be released on CD in a couple of months. I'm not sure of the exact release date in Australia at this time, but it should be either the end of February or early March.

I do not currently have any information about a Jackson Browne concert tour for this year. I know that Jackson wanted to spend some time working on a new studio album, so I'm not sure how much time that would allow for a world tour. If he does go on tour, I know that he always loves to perform in Australia where one of his sons lives and almost always includes some concerts there when he plans his world tours. I'll post tour information to this website as soon as I receive it.
