JACKSON BROWNE
In the Comics

One of my favorite comic strips was "Bloom County" by Berke Breathed. In 1984, one of the characters, a penguin named Opus, took a trip to the South Pole in an effort to locate his mother. He thought he managed to hop on board a cruise ship headed south, but accidently ended up on a Greenpeace ship. The sixth day of this little adventure brought us the following classic strip.

My apologies to Mr. Breathed for using this strip without his permission. And double apologies for colorizing it!! The original black and white strip can be found in the book "Penguin Dreams and Stranger Things" by Berke Breathed published by Little, Brown and Company and copyrighted in 1985.
