how could you have a rock n roll hof and not have jackson in it. think they finally realized this. i just want to say that i have been lucky enough to see him just once in 1996 in atlanta at chaistain park with shawn colvin. it was the greatest show i have ever seen. he is truly a gifted singer songwriter that makes the world easier to travel through because of his music. just want to say congratulations to jackson and keep the music coming. you are the best.
I've been reluctant to email you about the concert on Oct. 16, in Columbus, because in a way I just wanted to keep it in my heart, and to myself, and also because my sister and I went a little nuts, and followed the bus from Columbus to Toledo, in the middle of the night, with very little gas in our car, after we had already gotten to meet him, take GREAT pictures, and get his autograph. I really feel like an idiot about it, but honestly, we just got caught up in the moment. My fantasy was to go to a bar, or coffee shop, and just get to TALK with Jackson. Now doesn't that sound awesome? Instead I think I pissed him off, and I really feel bad about it. Although I'm sure he has forgotten all about it, I still think about it, and wish it would have been different. I did get to give him a birthday card, with my business cards in it. I own a restaurant along with my brother, and hope some day Jackson will visit it. It would be such a kick to get to wait on him! I have this great picture I took with him up in the restaurant, and nearly everyday one of my customers asks me if I know him.
Anyway, I absolutely love this site! Standing in the rain, waiting to meet Jackson in Columbus, we met another fan, who also checks in here, and right away we had lots in common.
Thanks again! It's great fun to stay connected.
And of course Congratulations to JB on the R&R Hall of Fame!!!
congrats to Jackson getting in the hall. i'm wondering who will give the induction speech- Bruce?

As far as I know, this hasn't been decided yet. My choice would be Bonnie Raitt or David Crosby.

With all that he has done for American music, and international musicians, they should give Jackson his own wing in the Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame. Speaking of American music, while JB is on the east coast getting inducted on March 15th, maybe he could squeeze in an acoustic show in NYC, or better yet, here in Philadelphia, where America started (and where I live). We devoted east coast fans from his Main Point in Bryn Mawr days, want to congratulate him in person!!
At long last they've woken up to the fact that the most influential American singer/songwriter ever deserves to be included in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, what have the people that preside over this organisation been thinking of for all these years.
It has been my privilege to have seen Jackson Browne on a number of occasions both in Europe and the USA, and the Sydney Opera House last February, I also met him at the 1998 Verde Valley School concert, along with CSN, brilliant. Whatever happened to these concerts? His words and music are so special in lots of ways to lots of people, long may he continue to entertain us.
Just a comment on how Jackson's music has affected my life over these many years. I do artwork in my spare time, mostly potraits of people, I love doing the many faces of different cultures. Over the years I have always done my best work while listening to Jackson Browne music. It's almost magical, I almost it hard to listen to anything else and have my drawings come out as well. It's been this way since the 70's ! Actually one of my first drawings at that time was a black pen drawing of him from the Saturate Before Use album. I may not listen to his stuff all the time, but when I feel the beckoning to draw, I pull out his tapes and gain the inspiration that somehow comes from his music. Thanks Jackson !
