GENERAL FAN COMMNETS: Tickets Available

Hi Russ,

I was wondering if you would post this on the website:

I have two extra Jackson Browne tickets in the 6th row, Row DD Left Center, for the September 7th Albany NY Palace Theater show that I'd sell to a fan for cost. The cost for two including ticketmaster surcharges is $164.00 ($82/ticket). They are incredibel seats and I wanted to make sure that fans had the first opportunity for them. They can email me at jsmith5764@nycap.rr.com if they'd like to buy them.

Best regards,

GENERAL FAN COMMNETS: A Letter To Jackson Browne

Hi -

First time I saw Jackson in the 70s at the Univ. of Iowa, Runnin' on Empty tour. I believe we were the last show on the tour, which made particular songs rather poignant, and it was a stellar night!

Last time I saw Jackson was in Davenport, Iowa, at a high school auditorium where he and Bonnie Raitt were supporting John Edwards...as was I. Oh well.

In between, sometime in the late 80s Jackson played the Starlight Theatre in Kansas City.

I was there, way in back, when the heavens opened and the rain poured down.

Jackson kept playing as people fled from their seats to find cover.

I didn t flee, I saw my chance, I walked down the grassy hill, down the steps to the empty front where I was able to lean on the fence and look straight into Jackson's eyes. The sparks flew...literally because of the rain and Jackson shrugged and smiled at me, unplugged and left the stage. Sigh.

I am thrilled to hear he'll be returning to the Starlight in August. I plan to be there...rain or shine.

GENERAL FAN COMMNETS:

Hey Russ-

I work with the great New Orleans artist, Anders Osborne. He's actually a big fan of Jackson like many of the folks that check out your site.

Anders just released a new record yesterday called American Patchwork. On it, there is a song called Call On Me which references Jackson's music that I thought fans might enjoy. I think they would all relate to the song and the feelings they get from listening to Jackson's music. Also, there is a terrific song called Meet Me In New Mexico that conjures up a classic Browne/Lindley vibe.

This might be a cool "record of interest" for the fans.

Best,

GENERAL FAN COMMNETS:

Hi Russ,

Like most everyone who writes to you, I have been a huge fan for many, many years. I have been fortunate enough to see him probably 25 or 30 times. (Wish I had kept all the ticket stubs!) I have tickets for his upcoming shows in Tulsa, at Red Rocks in Colorado, and in Amsterdam. Obviously I m particularly jazzed about seeing him in Amsterdam. It will be my first trip to Europe. My husband and I are going on a river boat cruise that ends on June 7 in Amsterdam. When we found out that Jackson was going to be playing in Amsterdam on June 9, we extended our stay so we could go to what should be the event of a lifetime! Thought I would just throw this out there to see if there are any friends going to that show that we could meet up with before the show. I think it would be very cool to meet with some like minded individuals when we will be so far from home. Let me know if there is any interest.

Thanks for what you do Russ....many of us have counted on you for years to keep us updated! You are very much appreciated!
