GENERAL FAN COMMMENTS:

I am planning on attending the Springfield Massachusetts show of Jackson's and will be looking for one good seat within a few rows to the stage. SO if anyone has any extras to sell, I will definitely be interested in one. I hope to meet up maybe before show time with any other Jackson fans around area that are going. Feel free to email me at JKJsmith99@aol.com if you can help out with tickets or want to meet at the show.

Thanks

GENERAL FAN COMMMENTS:

Hi to all J.B fans from Australia

Do any other fans find that they play Jackson Browne CDs nearly all the time and that the rest of the collection is little used? Does Jackson realise the effect he has on people's musical enjoyment? I hope so, as he is without a doubt the greatest singer/songwriter of our time. I also have the video "Going Home" and love watching all the superb musicians that make such great music. Can I also give 2 other great artists a plug here; John Prine and John Hiatt are also very talented performers, and I recommend them. Hoping for a peaceful 2002 for all our American Cousins. Sincerely,

GENERAL FAN COMMMENTS:

I have two extra tickets for Jackson on Sunday May 5, at the Capitol Center For The Arts in Concord, NH. It is a sold out show. The tickets are in the balcony left row J, seats 13 & 15. I am reselling them for $45.00 each, which is the same price I bought them for. I would add a S&H charge on, obviously, depending on how they are sent. I will be on vacation from April 17th through the 24. I believe I will have access to my mail and will be checking it. I won't be able to mail the tickets until April 26th. There should be no problems having the tickets in time for the show, esp. if we use Fed. Ex or overnight mail.

Anybody interested? Polowlaw@aol.com

GENERAL FAN COMMMENTS:

I was amused to read Stan's email (stan wellinton, NSW Australia) about his listening habits. We are of the same minds,Stan...I nearly drive my kids nuts..."that's not Jackson Browne again, Mum?" I into my second copy of the video "Going Home" because I literally wore the other one out!!! It's interesting to see how some of the songs have evolved over the years, 'The Shape of a Heart' sounds so much fuller and dramatic than the original recorded version.

I wonder if he does know the effect he has???

Hi to everyone in US and I am insanely jealous that some of you will get to see him soon.

Regards

GENERAL FAN COMMMENTS:

Goldmine Magazine recently asked for people to write in and give a list of people that they think should have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but have been passed over so far. (April 19 issue, page 8.)

I'm letting you know whom I think has been passed over for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Jackson Browne... It is really unsettling that our US songsmith has not already been there. Some who are there do not compare to the American songwriter who records our eras (musical and political), and writes of love lost and enjoyed. He backs new and seasoned musicians, and supports ethical causes, and still his concert tickets are manageable for the Common Man. I VOTE FOR JACKSON BROWNE!

An avid NC fan,

GENERAL FAN COMMMENTS:

I first got turned onto JB my senior year in college in 1996 at a small state school south of Austin. Being a musician myself, I was totally floored by the connection made when I hit play after popping in "I'm Alive". I literally stopped dead in my tracks, slowly wentÊto my knees and sat in my room and listened to the words and melodies at least three times through. It was unbelievable timing. I had just gone through a break up of a long term relationship and the words expressedÊEVERYTHING I was going through. My favorite thing about music is how we can revisit the songs of days past and be thrust right back into an old feeling or frame of mind. No album or artist can get me there like JB. I am truly a grateful fan!

Let me just say that I have been checking out your web site for the past couple of years and it's the best! It's great to know that there are people out there who love Jackson as much as I do. I went nuts when I saw that JB was "Looking East" with his accoustic tour next month. If there are any fans out there who might be willing to sell me two tickets to the May 15th show in Easton, PA I would be a happy man. My home e-mail address is TBurgoyne006@msn.com

Thanks again, Russ, for such a wonderful web site!

GENERAL FAN COMMMENTS:

Hi Folks

Just to let you know (especially you other Europeans) that there are some dedicated Jackson fans here in Belfast. I first heard Jackson in the mid 1970's. My brother played me 'For a Dancer'. I can only describe it as music which completely filled me inside. It seemed to open something up inside of me which went through me and no matter who else I listen to from time to time and over the years I always have to have my 'jackson fix' to be musically satisfied (I think I was just 13 years old!).

I've seen Jackson 5 times and got to meet him 4 times. Each time - what a gentleman!!!!The last time at an acoustic concert at Queens University Belfast he came out after the show and talked to my husband and I for about 20 minutes. It was so casual - he asked about N. Ireland and just spoke to us and asked and answered questions. He was so nice. My husband took a photo of us together and it's pride of place hanging on the kitchen wall! Most people who come in to my house ask - who's that? Don't worry I educate them.

I'd be glad to hear from any other Jackson fans. Looking forward to the new record and the next concert!

Best wishes to you all.

GENERAL FAN COMMMENTS:

Finally thought I'd write after reading comments from other fans around the world, especially Stan from Australia.

I can still remember exactly when I heard my first Jackson Browne song, Doctor My Eyes. It was the early 70's, I was sleeping outside in a tent, and I had a radio on, while staring at the night sky carpeted with stars. I will never be able to explain what it was, but something clicked inside. That song was so profound. The first album I ever bought was For Everyman. Those lps were so worn by the constant playing!

It was dobly hard for me because I grew up in the Montreal area, and radio stations gave little if any air play to Jackson's music. These were long before the days of internet, so information gathering was tough. I remember collecting copies of Rolling Stone magazine which featured articles on Jackson. I was always curious on who this song writer with such a profound understanding of life was. I finally got to see him live, when I heard of the No Nukes Concert in NYC. My buddy and I drove down on a last minute rush around and let's hope to get tickets whirlwind! We got in and saw him with Bruce Springsteen.

Years went by. Life continued, career, wife, children and as so many others divorce. When I went through that difficult period, Jackson's words and music were like a shining beacon, and just like a freind I could talk to who understood the turmoil, ...he had just released, I'm Alive.

Finally after close to 30 years after having first heard him on stage in NYC, I got the best surprise in years. Jackson was performing solo, in Bellingham, Washington, just south of where I live today. It was a part of my life I will never forget.

Through out the past thirty years, as I have listened and studied the issues Jackson has written about. I have seen his explanation of American Government involvement in war strifed countries, fueled by the all mighty dollar and corporate profit. I found a book called "Killing Hope", which documents the involvement of the CIA as far back as the OSS days in world affairs. If anyone ever doubted what Jackson has been trying to explain to us, read this book. The real power on this planet is fueled by economic greed. There's no doubt about it. God forbid anyone threaten the stock market or the economy.

So, Jackson, if you ever read these columns, I'd like to say thanks, for making a difference in another human being's life, by sharing the way you see the world and expressing your words in music. You have made a difference on someone's life.
