In Summer 1997, STEVE NOONAN and PENNY NICHOLS brought along a few friends and jammed for nearly 60 people. We had a potluck dinner and everyone enjoyed seeing Steve and Penny perform together for the first time in many years.

In the 1960s, Penny shared stages with many legendary artists such as Jackson Browne, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Linda Ronstadt and the Stone Ponies, Jennifer Warnes, Mary McCaslin and others. In the 70s and 80s she recorded and toured with many performers including: Art Garfunkel ("Fate for Breakfast"), Suzi Quatro, Yvonne Elliman, Jennifer Warnes, Albert Brooks, The Credibility Gap, Steve Gillette and earned a Grammy nomination for her work on Arlo Guthrie's album The Power of Love. Penny recorded her first album, Penny's Arcade, for Buddha Records in 1967. Her 1990 album, All Life Is One, is a real treasure.

Steve Noonan recorded his first album, Steve Noonan, for Elektra Records in 1968. The album was one of the first to include songs written by Jackson Browne. Steve's song "Buy For Me The Rain" was the first Hot 100 single for the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. After a long break, Steve has only recently resumed his music career and is in the very early stages of thinking about recording a new CD -- for which we have our fingers crossed.
